Taiwan Region and Thailand

CLP began investing in the Taiwan market in the early 1990s and subsequently expanded into Thailand

CLP’s investments in the region include the Heping Power Plant in Taiwan and the Lopburi Solar Power Plant in Thailand, with a combined net attributable capacity of 285 megawatts.

The Heping Power Plant commenced operations in 2002, in which CLP holds a 20% equity interest. In accordance with Taiwan’s regulatory requirements, the Heping Power Plant is expected to invest in renewable energy projects over the coming years.

CLP also holds a one-third equity interest in the Lopburi Solar Power Plant in Thailand. This project represents the first utility-scale solar power facility in CLP’s generation portfolio and has been fully operational since 2012.
